Day 3 – Mommy Mania – Momzelle

03/20/2013

Mommy Mania Featuring

A few days after the birth of my daughter Cécile, I created my own nursing top in order to feel comfortable breastfeeding in public settings. The shirt worked perfectly with my squirmy newborn (my midwife was the first one to rave about it) and my friends started to want their own.

Nine months later, I co-founded Momzelle breastfeeding apparel with my brother. That’s how Momzelle was born! Since then, we’ve continually been adding new styles and answering breastfeeding moms’ needs! ~ Momzelle Founder

  1. It’s the best time to make some plans for the future and it is time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I wish to suggest you few interesting things or tips. Maybe you can write next articles referring to this article. I wish to read even more things about it!

  2. Hi! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I’m trying
to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this issue.
If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!

  3. Janet Butler says:

My best souvenir so far is my daughter’s weight gain chart!

  4. Sandra O says:

I’m still on my breastfeeding journey and love my Bravado nursing bras! Stylish, comfortable, affordable and I can convert it to a regular bra when my journey is over. Love the momzelle products. Very stylish! 🙂

  5. Michelle says:

My best souvenir is the memory of how well my daughter thrived thanks to breastfeeding. She wasn’t growing well in the womb so the docs opted to induce me early. She went from less than 1st percentile to 60th percentile within 7 months thanks to breastfeeding!

  6. Thanks for the good writeup. It actually was a leisure account it. Glance advanced to far brought agreeable from you! By the way, how could we communicate?

  7. Maya S says:

My breasts may no longer be as “perky” or as youthful as they were in my 20s, but after nursing my two children I am left with an overwhelming sense of attachment and connectedness to them both. Perhaps the greatest legacy is their health, and my bond with them.

  8. Marisa Silver says:

My best souvenir from my breastfeeding journey (which is ongoing with babe #2) has to be my nursing tanks. Being a well-endowed gal, I could never find regular tanks with built in bras that actually gave me the support I needed….till I started breastfeeding!

  9. Julie says:

The best souvenir from my breastfeeding journey is my soft front carrier because the discovery of nursing-on-the-go was the best thing to happen since sliced bread!

  10. Natalia says:

The best souvenir of my breastfeeding journey is the bonding between my son & I. This simple gift that I am giving my son means the world to both of us. I am so fortunate to be able to be able to nurse him and hope to continue until he weans himself.

  11. Yolanda says:

It is a tie between the Dr. Newman nipple cream and my Bravado bra. Got to take care of yourself 🙂

  12. Jen SB says:

My biggest souvenir from breastfeeding (I’m still at it, almost ONE YEAR strong!!) isn’t a thing, it’s an attitude. I never understood why moms would choose to feed their LO’s in public, risking exposure, ridicule, stares, etc. And then I had my own little monkey… The fierce desire to protect, nurture and sustain your baby overrules ANY potential dirty looks I might get while feeding my child in public. Being able to sustain a LIFE with your own body is a wonderful, amazing, precious thing!!

  13. Nancy says:

The best souvenir … would have to be time I get to share with my son. With all the craziness in running a household and being a working mom, the time we share breastfeeding allows both of us to have some quiet one-on-one time together.

  14. Natasha says:

The best souvenirs from my breastfeeding are my connection with my daughter and my comfort with my own body and it’s amazing ability to nourish a child.

  15. Amy says:

As I continue to breastfeed my daughter, my greatest souvenir is our connection. It is beautiful and amazing to share our time together. I love when she looks into my eyes & places her little hand on my neck. I love the memory of unconditional love we are imprinting on one another for years to come.

  16. Jennifer says:

My greatest souvenir from my journey is the closeness I have with my daughter and the bond that we have. I also treasure the fact that I gave my daughter the best possible start in life!

  17. Crystal says:

The best souvenir… my little 8 month old son’s cankles! He got so chubby from my milk!

  18. Martina says:

I nursed my oldest until she was 1. She had the chubbiest cheeks which was my greatest souvenir with her. Nursed second for only 2 months and then had to exclusively pump. That was difficult and I didn’t make it as far as I would have liked to have b/c I was also potty training oldest at the same time.
I am due with baby boy next month and look forward to nursing him. I know that the biggest souvenir sometimes is the bond. Thanks for the chance!

  19. Amanda Babiak says:

The best souvenir is knowing that my body is able to feed and nourish my baby and the love that I see in his eyes when I do it.

  20. Sue says:

My greatest souvenir from my journey is the memory that I will have of my daughter greeting me by clapping her little hands and turning as I come in the door from work.  It really helps when I’ve had a stressful day knowing my daughter will be there to hug me and look at me and smile while she breastfeeds.

  21. Nicole says:

My best souvenir is the holes in my nipples … Ha ha. In all seriousness, it’s the nighttime feelings. My son is 6 months (still up a lot at night) but I love to sit and rock with him when it’s quiet and dark, and just the two of us. Item-wise, I guess this would make it my Nneka breastfeeding pillow.

  22. Meaghan says:

My best souvenir is how excited my six month old gets when I make the sign for milk and how sometimes all she needs is her mommy to make all her troubles go away.

  23. Leslie says:

Even though my son is only 3 weeks old and the breastsfeeding journey has just begun, I am enjoying the souvenir of our bonding experience.

  24. 똥습녀 says:

저 강만희라는 배우도 무섭고, 저기서 낄낄거리고 옳소 하면서 호응하는 사람들도 무섭다. 감시하는 눈이 없으면 정말 사람 죽일 기세.

  25. Cassandra Eastman says:

The bonding and connection that came from it between us! My favorite essentials were my Girasol Ring sling for sure, amazing to nurse in!

  27. Amanda Brockhoff says:

Best souvenir…Just being able to stop and take a moment with my son, even with his older brother running around, I am glad that we can still share a moment for the two of us and I will always cherish that.

  28. Keri says:

My favorite moments while breastfeeding, and they still happen, are when my baby boy reaches up, body relaxed, and lays his hand gently on my chest. It’s a little sign of his contentedness and everything feels all right with the world!

  29. Leslie says:

Even though my son is only 3 weeks old, the souvenir I’m enjoying the most is the bonding time we have together!

  30. Renee says:

The best souvenier from breastfeeding my daughter is the strong bond we share. She is the sweetest most empathetic 2 year old and always wants to “tuddle” her mama. I can’t say no to cuddles.

  31. Every word in this piece of work is very clear and your passion for this topic shines. Please continue your work in this area and I hope to see more from you in the future.

  32. Leslie says:

Even though this is only the third week for my son, I’m so grateful for the souvenir of bonding & getting to know each other!

  33. Monique L. S. says:

The best souvenir from my breastfeeding journey is watching my daughter grow and thrive. When she was born, there was a lot of issues feeding; so much so, that she ended up being admitted to hospital. Luckily, with some help, we overcame the obstacles, and now are doing great.

  34. Jeannie says:

The best souvenir from my breastfeeding journey with my son was definitely the bonding and his chubby cheeks. I knew that every ounce of weight he gained it was because of my milk.

  35. Celine Land says:

I am still on my breastfeeding journey but my best souvenir so far are those quiet moments when I am blown away of the miracle of feeding my child through my own body

  36. Tara says:

my best souvenir of my breast feeding journey is the stretch marks on my breasts. that my body could grow and change so much to nourish four little ones is pretty awesome!

  37. nitsa says:

On-going journey.. The freedom I regained when I stopped needing to supplement my daughter via SNS.. which happened around 1 year. But really, every session is a blessing!

  38. Mandy Renaud says:

My best souvenir from my breastfeeding journey that we are still experIencing would be the incredible bond we have formed. Its such a special feeling knowing nobody else will ever have that connection with her.

Mine would have to be my Ergo. A breastfeeding baby in the Ergo is a sleeping/happy/quiet/comfy baby! A lifesaver at the grocery store!

We are brand new to nursing, now that the kinks are worked out im am so enthralled with my baby boy and look forward to our special time together just the two of us! It’s incredibly empowering to be able to grow a baby and then feed them?!! So wild!

  42. Melissa says:

I would have to say the bond that we share. And the great friends I have made through our groups we attended together.

  43. Sonya says:

I just started another breastfeeding journey with my second. My best souvenir with both girls is the sleepy smiles they give you when they lift their heads up after finishing a feeding.

My best souvenir is the breast feeding pillow. Everytime I see it I recall the middle of the night feedings.

  45. sonya says:

I am still on my breastfeeding journey but I am loving the bonding experience with my son. My best souvenir thus far are my lacy nursing bras from Hot Milk, it’s great to have something fun to wear.

  46. Candace says:

The best souvenir was the quiet bonding time, away from everyone else. I also loved my cotton nursing pads, much better than most of those yucky plastic backed disposable ones.

  47. Lori L. says:

My best souvenir from breastfeeding my daughter is the memories of all the funny moments when she would exclaim loudly in the store that she wanted “BOOBIE NOW!” and try to pull up my shirt!

  48. Ilissa K says:

The best souvenir is probably our breastfeeding photos. I previously had a breast reduction and being able to nurse exclusively (after 4-5 months of at the breast and bottle supplementing) was quite an accomplishment for us! I treasure every breastfeeding photo that we have. 🙂
