Hidrate Spark 2.0 smart water bottle Review

Hidrate Spark 2.0 smart water bottle Review

I personally LOVE water and it is definitely what I reach for most often.  I like it very cold and on-ice when possible.  I also have a bit of a water phobia when it comes to tap water, so I always have filtered water with me.  We all know that all the bottles resulting from bottled water isn’t great for the environment, so I am always on hunt for a great bottle that I can take with me in the car and to the gym.  I work from home, so I usually have my big Tervus tumbler full of ice water during the day.

We have a water cooler that has a refillable water bottle on top – it is sort of like a giant Brita, but doesn’t have to be stored in the fridge.  I seem to be filling it constantly between our family of 5 who all drink tons of water.  I often wonder just how much water I am actually drinking.  Mommy Connections was contacted to try out a brand new water bottle, the Hidrate Spark.  I was super excited when it arrived and was glad that it was nice and easy to set up.

You just need to take it out of the box, ensure that the sensor (the white thing below) is on properly and ensure the cap is leak proof by lining up some arrows and then pair it with your phone. Super simple!

The Hidrate Spark water bottle comes in 6 fabulous colours and for our American readers, you can get an exclusive Royal Blue bottle at Neiman’s!  I had a girlfriend that was interested in seeing it and the first thing she wanted to see was the water spout as she said she is very particular about that.  It is a nice wide spout that is very easy to wipe away any lipstick or gloss residue without having to wash the entire thing.  The next thing she wanted to see was the glow!  The Hidrate Spark glows to remind you when it is time to take a drink.  It actually pairs with your smartphone and then you can change things like the glow frequency (and even colour!) throughout the day. There is a great video that really shows how it lights up – take a look!

In the app, you will add in your personal details like weight and fitness level.  You can also add glasses in that you drink from something other than the bottle.  It is a great tracker to see when you are drinking throughout the day, how much and of course you will get reminders on your devise (even your Apple Watch or Fitbit!) when to drink.

I am an active person, pretty much always surpassing my 10,000 step daily goal and working out at the gym 3-4 times a week, not to mention chasing around 3 kids.  I don’t have any specific weight loss goals, but I am always eager to see where I am at on my watch throughout the day.  It is a great compliment to now add in water consumption too.  I am occasionally more interested in taking a glass of wine up to bed to relax with, but now I have been more inclined to take my water bottle and continue to reach my hydration goals.  This bottle now goes everywhere with me – the car, the gym, my office and around the house. Now my oldest wants one too!

  • Hidrate Spark 2.0 tracks your water intake
  • Connects via bluetooth to hydration app
  • Syncs with Fitbit, Apple Watch & more
  • Glows to remind you to stay hydrate

I love it – it helps me stick to a healthy lifestyle.  This makes a great gift for the techie in your life too.  Such a great idea.  Thanks for the bottle Hidrate Spark!

Did you read any of the HORRIBLE (and I am no exaturating) reviews on the Hidrate? I really want to get one since I always have good intentions to drink my water all day and then work gets busy and I have barely touched it. The reminders would be VERY helpful but I want to make sure that I am spending $55 on a good product. If I was going just off the reviews I would not get this product because they are terrible.

Would you say do not listen to the reviews (kind of like a bad movie review)?

      Hi Megan,

There are definitely a lot of reviews out there. I personally reviewed this product and I really like it. If you are in the market for a fancy water bottle, a Swell bottle, or similar is around $40. They are pretty, but don’t do much! This bottle is really cool. If you are willing to spend some money on a water bottle, I have honestly loved this one. I take it with me everywhere. No more water glasses at my desk or beside my bed – I always have my Hidrate bottle. I already do drink a lot of water, so I don’t know if I really need the light up feature, but it is just so cool! Linking to my phone and watch are the best part of this water bottle and I like how you can look back at the week and review your water in-take, overall. The bottle also holds a lot of water, so one Hidrate bottle is good at the gym, without having to refill.

I hope this helps! They are a popular item, so if you can get your hands on one – do it!
