Review: Cheeky Chompers Chewy Hippo teether and a Neckerchew

Avery is now 8 months old. Such a fun and interactive age, we are truly loving every minute of it and enjoying all of our new experiences with her. However, with this fun age comes teething which can be a difficult time for babies and parents.  Watching your little one suffer through something we have no control over can be tough. I have been lucky that I haven’t had to resort to medication to soothe her sore gums but instead, am constantly on the lookout for the next teether toy, other than Sophie, that will suffice.

When we got the Cheeky Chompers Chewy Hippo teether, I was very impressed with the size, feel, texture, and all natural rubber it was made of. The little strap that you can attach to a car seat or stroller came in handy as well as she is at the stage of throwing things out of her stroller and on to the dirty ground. This teether quickly has become a favourite and something we wouldn’t dare leave the house without. I love the substantial size of this toy as she can really get her hands on and chew many different parts of the hippo. We love him!!

Also with this stage of teething comes the drool. Her little chin (and neck and clothes) is constantly soaked and I’m always putting a bib on her whether she’s eating or not to help keep her clothes dry. The Neckerchew has actually made it into my top 5 diaper bag must haves, as we don’t leave home without it. What do I love about it? So many things…. The beautiful colour and design on it was perfect for my little fashionista, the fact it was reversible? HALLELUJAH!! I can’t even keep up with the dirty laundry bib situation. And the fact it has a little teether on the end was absolutely perfect.

I totally recommend these two products to any parent who is watching their little baby go through the very long process of teething. Avery is a big fan and we don’t leave home without either.
