1. Where did you grow up and what college/university did you graduate from?
I was born and raised right here in Calgary, Alberta. I am graduating this April from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Health Science Honours from the Faculty of Medicine.
2. What do you love about working for Pedalheads?
The kids! While working at Pedalheads you get to be constantly surrounded by great energetic kids, and nothing is more rewarding than watching kids grow and develop during their time at camp.
3. What is one of your favourite moments from camp?
One of my favourite moments from camp was during a Rescue Race at Heroheads. One of the kids in my class was very shy at the beginning of the week but slowly throughout the week was coming out of his shell more and more. On Friday, he showed up in a full superhero suit and was so excited to run in the Rescue Race. He started through the giant obstacle course and was doing amazing! He got to the “bat tunnel” where he had to crawl through a small tunnel and hesitated. I ran over to help and encourage him but before I got there all the kids started cheering his name and before I knew it through the tunnel he went! This moment showed me how supportive and kind children are as well as how many great friendships are started at Heroheads and Pedalheads.
4. What do you like to do when you aren’t teaching kids to ride a bike?
You can usually find me outdoors! I love to spend my time hiking in the mountains, camping, cycling, and running. I also spend a lot of my time at dog parks with my dog, Finley. I am also a total foodie…so you might find me at some of Calgary’s hot spots for good food!
1. Where did you grow up and what college/university did you graduate from?

2. What do you love about working for Pedalheads?
Pedalheads is such a fun and supportive place to work! The staff are positive and encouraging, and we are working together to provide amazing experiences for children to gain confidence and accomplish new skills. I get to go home at the end of my work day feeling like I helped make a positive impact on our community.
3. What is one of your favourite moments from camp?
I will never forget the first time I felt a Level One rider start balancing on their own as I helped support them on their bike, and I watched as I let them go to start riding on their own across the field. Tears came to my eyes as I shared their joy and pride from riding without training wheels for the first time by themselves – it is a truly fulfilling experience.
4. What do you like to do when you aren’t teaching kids to ride a bike?
In the spring and summer, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast. I love to mountain bike, hike, and camp. I used to play high level basketball, and I love to stay involved with the game by coaching youth as well as refereeing high school and college basketball throughout the fall and winter.
Whether your youngster has never been on a bike before, is ready to lose the training wheels or is getting ready to ride safely on the road – Pedalheads offers it all! See our levels here.
