Learn, have fun with your baby, and meet other new dads in Burlington!

Our flagship Dad & Baby program offers dads a unique opportunity to meet other dads, learn about local programs and services, and gather valuable parenting info – in a fun, low-pressure, inclusive environment.

Each week features a discussion led by a local expert on topics ranging from baby sleep to introducing solids to gross motor development. We also try fun and interactive activities for dad and baby – like baby massage and music.  There’s also always an informal opportunity to chat with others experiencing the same challenges, fears and excitement as you are.

This program runs every Monday morning, 11am-12:15pm from September 12 to October 3, 2022. We will meet indoors at Shepherd Private Coaching, which is located at 2465 Mainway.

We will do our best to host classes in person, however we reserve the right to move classes to a virtual format in the event of inclement weather, illness or further government restrictions. For our full cancellation policy, click here.

This class is ideal for dads and their non-mobile babies, aged newborn to 8 months.  The cost is $109+HST.

Participants will be added to a private WhatsApp chat for this class.

Each class will be limited to 12 dads. Unfortunately you will not be allowed to bring older siblings to the class.

Included in your $109 registration fee is:

  • Four classes full of information, bonding opportunities and connection
  • Private WhatsApp chat group

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How old should my baby be when I register?
A: The ideal time to start this program is when your baby is between six-weeks and eight-months-old. We also welcome ‘older’ babies that aren’t mobile yet.

Q: Can I attend just a few classes?
A: Single sessions are not available. A huge focus of our program is community building, which can only be created when a group is consistent from start to finish.

Q: How many dads are in each class?
A: Each class will be limited to 12 dads in order to foster a cozy, community feel.

Q: I’m a second-time dad, not a “new” dad. Can I still join?
A: Absolutely! Our classes are typically a mix of first-, second-, and third-time parents.

Q: When will I find out the final schedule of topics/activities?
A: You will receive a schedule via email before your session begins. We cannot guarantee that a particular type of class (like yoga or music) will be a part of any given session. Class topics change slightly from program to program and are subject to local experts’ availability. We can, however, promise you a great mix of things!
