Who Doesn’t Love a Party?!

For those of you who are all about social media, PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved) is hosting a Twitter Party!  It will be held from noon – 1pm on May 8 and there are some great prizes to be had.  If you do not have a Twitter account, you can create one at www.twitter.com.  If you are already on Twitter, just follow @PTPA ‘s posts and respond to their questions with #ptpaparty.  I’ve only participated in one other Twitter party before and I have to say, it was a very fun experience.  I actually won a prize!

So if your little one (s) allow you some time, log on and let’s party!  Follow the link for more information.

I don’t know about you ladies, and I know a special day is chosen on the calendar to celebrate us mothers, but isn’t everyday Mother’s Day?  There is no other “job” like ours.  It can be overwhelming, frustrating and challenging, but at the end of the day, motherhood is the most rewarding job there is. Whether you are a biological mom, a foster mom, a surrogate mom or someone who is motherly, you are to be celebrated each and everyday.  I’m sure we appreciate the one day we are allowed to say, “I’m taking a break” and get spoiled, pampered and waited on hand and foot, or that’s what’s supposed to happen.  My daughter Karmyn is 7 1/2 months old, so it’s safe to say my Mother’s Day won’t really be any different than any other day, unless I wake up to a breakfast of champions made by my little girl, with help from her dad of course!  So, here’s to all of you mother’s out there.  I lift my water-filled glass and say cheers to you for all that you do.  Keep up the great work! It ain’t easy, but someone’s gotta do it! So what are you plans for this Mother’s Day weekend?  My sister, Karmyn and I will be joining our mother for a delicious brunch at our church complete with music and presenters. I’m really looking forward to it. Don’t have any plans? Here’s what’s happening in Durham:
