Fisher Price Jake and The Neverland Pirates

We asked one of our moms what she thought of the the Fisher Price Jake and The Neverland Pirates toy. Check out her review!

My son had never really paid much attention to Jake and the Neverland Pirates show on the Disney Channel but I thought we would broaden his horizons and see what he would think of a “pirate” themed toy.

The moment he saw that toy he wouldn’t stop talking about the treasure chest as that is what he associates with pirates. However, once we had the Jake and the Neverland Pirates Magical Tiki Hideout opened up, he was all about activating the different areas using the tiki and playing with Jake as though he’d known him for years.

My son is on the younger age of the spectrum so he really enjoys pushing levers and spinning things to make things move and this toy lets him do that, working on coordination and tactile strength. However, the bullets for the gun are pretty small and easy to lose as he has lost all but one. He also forgets sometimes that the tiki is how you get the levers to work.

He is also pretty rough on things and has ripped some pieces off of it but they easily snap back together so it is pretty durable.

All in all I think this is a toy that he can grow in to and since he has received this toy, he wants to watch nothing but pirates on TV.
