Have a busy tot? Join us for six weeks of fun and discovery in our Outdoor Travelling Tots Program in West Edmonton

Our popular Travelling Tots program provides toddlers (from 18 months to 4 years of age*) and their caregivers with a unique opportunity to play, explore, and make new friends.

Each week, we travel as a group to a new outdoor location in the area to enjoy a different structured activity – from music and gymnastics to dance and crafts.

All activities are led by a local business, giving you a unique opportunity to scope out and sample the activities available to you in South Edmonton.

We meet from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every Thursday. This session runs for six weeks and begins on July 29th, 2021.

This class is ideal for families with toddlers 1.5 – 4 years.

The Details:

  • Classes take place outdoors at various greenspaces in West Edmonton, and indoors at Lessard Community League Hall if needed!
  • Starting on July 29th we’ll meet every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. (for a total of 6 sessions)
  • Once the activity portion of each class has finished, we’ll spend time connecting through conversation while our toddlers have a snack from home.
  • All participants will be added to a private Facebook group and WhatsApp chat for this class.

Included in your $129 registration fee is:

  • Six weeks of FUN with the same group of caregivers and tots
  • An outdoor Family Photo Shoot with Teagan Photography and one complementary 5 X 7 print from your gallery

COVID-19 Protocol for Outdoor Classes:

  1. Everyone must always remain at least 6 feet apart, including children and presenters.
  2. If you or your child are not well, or have been instructed to self-isolate, or are in close contact with someone who has been instructed to self-isolate please let us know. Do not come to class until you are well again/your isolation has ended.
  3. You are responsible for keeping yourself and your child/children at an adequate distance.
  4. No sharing of any items.
  5. Since we are outdoors, we do not need sanitation stations, but we do highly recommend bringing hand sanitizer for frequent hand washing.
  6. All participants are required to sign a waiver form prior to our first class.
  7. Facemasks for adults are not required (as we will be physically-distanced) but are welcome.
  8. If at any point, we are no longer able to run our outdoor program due to new health restrictions, the program will move online (Zoom). No credits or refunds will be given if this happens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I’m home with a toddler AND a baby? Can my newborn tag along?

A: You bet! Babies are most welcome (at no extra cost), so long as they are comfortable in a bucket seat or baby carrier. Travelling Tots is a great, supportive way to get used to being out and about with both your toddler and newborn at once.

Q: What if I have two toddlers? Can I bring both of them?

A: Absolutely. Families with more than one tot in the program will save 50% off the second registration.

Q: My child is home with a nanny/caregiver. Can they attend together?

A: Yes! Tots may attend with any type of caregiver (parent, grandparent, nanny, etc.) so long as that person can make their way to our various class locations.

Q: When/how do I find out where the classes will be taking place?

A: You will receive a schedule via email, one week prior to our first class.

Q: Can I attend just a few classes?

A: Single sessions are not available. A huge focus of our program is community building, which can only be created when a group is consistent from start to finish.

Q: How many families are in each class?

A: This class will not exceed 10 families.

Q: When will I find out the class schedule? 

A: You will receive a schedule via email before your session begins.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Cancellation policy:

Refunds, less a $30 admin fee will be administered if the cancellation is more than 7 days before the start of the start of the program.  Cancellations within 7 days of the start of the program will receive a credit.  No refunds are available once a program starts.

In the event of poor weather, the class/classes will be added to the end session, on the same day of the week, time, and location.

If you are unable to meet any of our requirements listed above (i.e. you come in contact with someone exposed to the virus) you will receive a Mommy Connections credit for the remaining classes left in your session.  This credit can be used towards any future program.
