Toy Review: Thomas & Friends™ Take-n-Play™ Thomas’ Adventure Castle

“Chugga, chugga, choo-choo,” – those are the first sounds I hear from my daughter within five minutes of me fully assembling the Thomas & Friends Take-n-Play Thomas’ Adventure Castle.

thomasLiterally, a snap to put together it took less than 10 minutes to build the castle and off she went running Thomas and his accompanying troublesome truck along the tracks.

The toy’s concept, which was inspired by the King of the Railway DVD movie, is for the troublesome truck to catch Thomas as the little blue engine races down the spiral track, as Thomas zooms downward the flag unfurls and the treasure gold drops.

There is something about cars, trains and, running any toy along a track for that matter, that young children just love. And the portability of this toy is amazing. Thomas has evaded the troublesome truck  in our kitchen, living room and on the floor of my daughter’s room, clearly racking up the mileage in comparison to some of her other more “stable” toys.

imageIt’s important to note that this toy packs up easily as a “carry with us toy” so on a trip to grandma and grandpa’s, Thomas, the troublesome truck and his castle can easily make the trip due to their portability. This toy also connects to other Take-n-Play portable playsets.
