The Grand Opening of an exciting new art studio, Paint & Pixels is taking place this Saturday and Sunday, November 7-8th. The studio is located at 699 The Queensway. To celebrate the Opening, the first 200 families can make and decorate a complimentary sea turtle!
This new visual and digital arts studio offers art classes, birthday parties or school break camps and combines the enjoyment of making art with the latest in technology by integrating iPads, art apps and “green screen” fun into the creative process! The studio offers art classes and workshops for both kids and adults.
“We are very excited to be part of the Etobicoke community. Our concept is different from traditional art schools as we want to integrate technology into every class, birthday party, or school break camp,” said Martha Moen, Co-Founder of the studio. “We may start using iPads to explore the art history of famous artist, recreate our own version using unique art apps and a digital stylus, and then shift to hands-on art creation of a painted masterpiece or mixed media composition.”
With two floors of space to get messy, the studio includes a splatter room for those who want to throw paint like Jackson Pollock, and a “green screen” for kids to see themselves standing next to a giant caterpillar, swimming with a goldfish or dancing live in their favourite pop-star video.![]()
“We are very excited about our upcoming classes, especially our Storybook Adventure series which involves literature-inspired art from a collection of children’s uproarious tales and favourite classics. We also know our Star Wars themed birthday party will generate a ton of interest too!”
