Where to See Santa in 2020

2020 has been a year.

Regardless of how you celebrate, the festive season will look different for many people this year in terms of parties and gathering sizes.

But there are many things won’t change: family, warmth, giving, childhood wonder, sparkly lights and decorations, and—the jolly man in red.

We’ve rounded up the top spots to see Santa Claus in the west GTA, in-person or virtually.

IN-PERSON EXPERIENCES

Making Spirits Bright Virtual & In-Person Experiences
Oakville Place, Oakville & Burlington Centre, Burlington

Contactless in-person, and virtual Santa experiences. In-person photos by reservation only. All guests ages 5 and older are required to wear face coverings, and guests will not sit on Santa’s lap during the interaction.

Downey’s Farm Presents Christmas at the Farm
Downey’s Farm, Caledon
Nov 21 – Dec 20
Christmas at the Farm includes a visit with the farm animals, cookie decorating and cocoa in Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, see the Elves Workshop or take your picture in Christmas scenes around the farm, and a private, socially distanced visit with Santa.

Making Santa photos safe this year with Santa’s festive red mask, spaced seating and a contact-free transfer of a gift. Visit includes a private 15 minute session with Santa and a take home keepsake photo.

VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES

Storytime Magic with Santa
Mountsberg, Campbellville
Nov 20 – Dec 24
Bring Santa’s favourite little helpers out to Mountsberg for a scavenger hunt through the woods and Santa’s magic village, hot chocolate and cookies, and a Christmas craft. Finish out the day with virtual Christmas story time (Santa learned how to use Zoom!) inside Mrs. Claus’ cabin kitchen.

Oakville Santa Claus Parade
Nov 21, 9 a.m.
Oakville Mayor Rob Burton will sit down with Santa in-person in lieu of the annual parade. The event will feature a fireside chat with Santa, colouring contest submissions and winners, and other special guests.
