What a year it's been so far. It's definitely not

What a year it's been so far. It's definitely not as we had pictured but just like the last two years, we will get through it together.

Join us, other parents and their babes as we explore Durham with our toddlers, or keep busy with our movers or bond with our babies this Spring. Come on down as we have fun and learn from local businesses when it comes to all things parenthood while interacting with each other.

Hopefully, mid-way through, we can move outdoors to the park for some fresh air (weather permitting).

Register early to avoid disappointment as our classes are capped to keep in line with the health and safety of everyone. Also because spots tend to go FAST!

Mom and Baby (0- 7 month)
Mini Movers (8 - 15months)
Travelling Tots (walking - 4yrs)

*COVID protocols will be enforced.

Well, not the way we have all hoped to start 2022 but here we are in eerily familiar territory.

Please let's wait for the the announcement and give ourselves time to plan what to do next seeing how news will be literally springing on everyone in the next few hours.. I will of course be sending through an email for everyone registered for our upcoming Winter programs.

Happy Kwanzaa!

What is Kwanzaa and why do we celebrate it?

Kwanzaa is a recognition that knowledge of Black history is worthwhile.

Millions throughout the world's African community are starting Kwanzaa's week-long celebration from Dec 26 - Jan 2.

Kwanzaa is a time of communal self-affirmation that celebrates the Black heroes and heroines with food decoration, cultural objects, and the light of the kinara.

Why is Kwanzaa important?

Kwanzaa was created in 1966 by Maulana Karenga, a Black American scholar, and activist.

The name derives from "matunda ya kwanka" which means "first fruits."

Kwanzaa celebrates the seven basic values of the African culture. Unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

What a year it’s been. 2021 was another whirlwin

What a year it’s been. 2021 was another whirlwind, but another opportunity to focus on what matters and filter out what doesn’t serve us. For me, it was another chance to reflect and overcome. Another year to hold strong and persevere. Another opportunity to challenge yourself and accomplish so much more than you thought you ever would.

Now, it’s time to remember that this time of year somehow makes it all better and reconnects us with what’s important. May the coming year be a prosperous one for you and your family. Close 2021 with grace and start 2022 with gusto.
