Who should register for Mommy Connections?

Have you been looking for some sort of ‘mommy-thing’ to register for in the New Year? There are so many great classes for mom and baby that sometimes it’s hard to decide what to sign up for.

Here are some answers to common questions and concerns we hear from moms interested in our programs.

1. Do I have to be a first time mom? Absolutely not! Mommy Connections looks to connect all moms. First time moms generally have a bit more freedom with their time, but we are open all moms (dads too!). If you have a toddler and an infant, it is advised that you register for the class suited to your oldest child. Siblings are welcome at most programs. E-mail your local director if you are unsure.
2. How much does it cost? Prices vary depending on the class type. Prices are listed on each location’s ‘Sessions’ page. We know that many new moms are adjusting to a change in income, so we keep that in mind when pricing our programs. Compared to other programs, you will probably find that we have the lowest price/class.
3. I was going to sign up for ____________. Why should I do Mommy Connections instead? Mommy Connections has partnered with many of the businesses in your community that also offer mom/baby classes. For example, in Edmonton, we often have presenters from Gymboree, J’Adore Dance, infant massage, etc. Basically, you get to preview these other classes before you sign up. And, since Mommy Connections is very focused on ensuring quality social interactions, you’ll probably have people to sign up for your next class with.
4. 8 Weeks seems like a big commitment. Why are the sessions so long? As mentioned above, we are really committed to connecting moms. Previous participants have felt that at the end of a 6-week program, they were just starting to get to know the other moms…so we listened, and lengthened the program.
5. 5. My baby still fusses when we’re out of the house too long, and I’m breastfeeding. So do ours!! We are completely mom/baby friendly. You are welcome to do whatever you need to meet the needs of your baby during our sessions.
6. 6. How do I register? Go to www.mommyconnections.ca and find the location nearest you. Registration can be completed online.
