Edleun Tour- Sherwood Park Location

On June 12^th 2013 I was invited to take a tour of Edleun, the Sherwood Park location.  While walking around the high standard of cleanliness was very noticeable as was how happy and well taken care of all the babies and children were, which to a parent is of course very important. As a parent myself I know how hard it would be to have to leave your children to return to work, it definitely makes it easier to know they are being very well looked after, fed delicious and nutritious meals, and of course learning, having fun and socializing with other children their age.

Edleun is a high-quality educational child care facility, for the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years, and they also offer before and after school care for children up to the age of 12. This large child care facility is licensed to hold a capacity of 197. They are open from 6:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.  Edleun is equipped with an on-site kitchen where all the meals and snacks that are created by nutritionists are freshly prepared

Edleun has one infant room for ages 6 weeks to 19 months. They have a separate room for naps, which is equipped with 3 cribs. Parents can bring their own sheets and leave them at the center for washing as Edleun is equipped with an on-site laundry room.

Edleun has one toddler room ages 12-24 months and one room for ages 2-3 years: Where the participate in story time, games and other fun age appropriate activities.

Edleun has two rooms for ages 3-5: One of the rooms is for children who take naps still, and the other is for the children who don’t. The children participate in three circles a day where they learn literacy, language, math and science. They also have time for crafts, free time and have access to an indoor and outdoor playground. This ensures the children get lots of exercise, rain or shine!

Edleun has two rooms for before and after school care that are equipped with computers and other activities and crafts.  The child who are enrolled in the before and after school program are driven to school on the bus and picked up after school to be taken back to Edleun. The children also take Edleun’s bus to attend two field trips a month. How fun is that?!

As a parent myself, I know what is truly important when finding a child care facility. I can honestly say how impressed Edleun has made me with their facility.
