Spring Into Spring

03/21/2016

Did you know the first spring based trampoline was invented back in 1934? George Nissen, a gymnast, invented the first spring based trampoline to help him train. Fast forward to 1992, when Dr. Keith Alexander (a dad and mechanical engineer) decided his kids needed a trampoline, but a safer one to the alternatives on the market. So he spent years working on a design and in 2003 the first Springfree Trampoline was sold.

At this time of year, with the arrival of spring and heading into warmer weather, we know many young families will be looking at investing in a trampoline. So we decided to check out Springfree Trampolines and see what makes them different from the rest. Here’s what we found:

Springfree-Jumper

Springfree Trampoline offers an innovative design, removing 90 percent of product related injuries caused by traditional trampolines, to bring families peace of mind in the backyard.
What makes Springfree Trampoline unique is that they’ve moved the metal frame beneath the jumping surface, where you can’t hit it. They’ve replaced the coil springs with flexible composite rods and created a soft edge mat that is 30 times more shock absorbent than foam pads. And the enclosure uses flexible net rods that prevent the jumper from falling to the ground.
Springfree Trampoline brings you peace of mind in the backyard, with a smart, safety-conscious design from a team of world class engineers.
