For every bear that ever there was,
Will gather there for certain.
Because today’s the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic!

Bring your baby! Bring your toddler! And bring your teddy bears! We are thrilled to announce that Mommy Connections Calgary and Brilliant Beginnings, is throwing our first ever, Teddy Bear Picnic!

Come explore and build bear caves, go on a pretend picnic with your teddy bear, make binoculars, go on a bear hunt, and see if you can find honey in a “hive”! We’ll have bear cookies and juice for our little ones and David’s Tea for the adults. Our photographer will be on site to take a keepsake photo of you and your little one, we’ll have bear themed photo booths and props for both babies and toddlers and a bear colouring station! We are going to get fall started off with a great adventure!

Event: Teddy Bear Picnic

Where: North Glenmore Park Community Association (2231 Longridge Drive S.W.) – Outside of the facility.

Time: 12:30pm – 2:30pm (Please note there is a morning party from 10 – 12).

What To Expect: Brilliant Beginnings will be providing the self guided stations, each with Teddy Bear themed activities from exploring and building bear caves to going on a bear hunt and finding honey in a hive! During our pretend picnic with our teddy bears we’ll have chocolate chip bear claw cookies and juice for the kids, as well as David’s Tea for the adults. If you have a baby? We’ve got you covered! Lil Orchard Baby Foods will be on site to give out some of their delicious pear and sweet potato purees!

Every family will get one keepsake bear themed photo to remember the event thanks to Bebe Newborn Photography and JM Photography! For our older kids we’ll have a bear themed photo booth set up for you to take your own photos and for our babies we’ll have an adorable ‘staged’ teddy bear picnic area for  taking your own keepsake photos!

What to bring: We encourage you to bring your teddy bear (or a few) as well as a picnic blanket. We will have table cloths to go with our Teddy Bear themed set up, but for comfort we encourage you to bring a blanket as well. Please also bring 2 toilet paper rolls OR paper towel rolls, as we’ll be making binoculars! 

Who can attend: This event is open to the general public! So invite your friends, neighbours, partners and grandparents!

Age Ranges: From newborn babies to kids up to 4 (age ranges are flexible).

Weather Policy: This event will run rain or shine. If it is heavily raining, we will move indoors. Otherwise you can expect to be outside.

Cost: $15 per parent & child (per family), $5 per additional child (per family), $5 per additional adult (per family).

• Please note that this is the pricing PER FAMILY. If you are purchasing tickets for a friend and her child, it is $15.
• Cookies & Juice included are for the children, the adults will have David’s Tea.
• Cookies provided are made in a peanut free facility.
• You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch! But please make it peanut free.
