SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT:

Jumping Jellies specializes in creating an inspiring environment for toddlers, preschoolers, school aged children & parents to exercise creativity through dance, movement and yoga! Jumping Jellies is an inclusive program that encourages all abilities of children!

They offer a variety of programs such as preschool creative dance and movement, creative arts play school, birthday parties and summer camps. But the one that caught our eye is their Mommy and Me Play And Dance Program! It is a fun, energetic, engaging atmosphere for you and your little one that is the perfect class that caters to the developing mind. Mommy and me play and dance offers up beat interactive songs, sensory play, fun props, activities and a great way for the little ones to engage in social interactions!

The little ones all have so much fun moving and grooving to the beat of their own drum! This allows kids to explore being creative, playing, and learning in a unique way. Here are the specific areas of focus:

• Gross/fine motor movement
• Creativity
• Musicality
• Early literacy skills
• Sensory play
• Mindfulness

It’s always interesting to us, who runs the company and why. Here’s a little information on the owner Marina Clark:

Jumping Jellies is owned and was created by Marina Clark.  Marina has created various fun and unique programs for toddlers, preschoolers, school aged kids and parents.With a passion and desire to teach and expand young minds, Marina has also had extensive dance training in areas such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Zumba Musical theater and has been on a well known Canadian salsa dancing team Salsa Rica for 9 years. Marina received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology specializing in child development from Mount Royal in 2013.

Marina put her degree to use by working in Early Intervention for Cause and Effect Foundation. Along with formal training Marina is also fitness certified through the AFLCA and Little Hippies Yoga. Marina’s love for working with children has grown immensely over the years inspiring her to create a diverse active program that combines all of her areas of expertise!
