20 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me…

I always make my Post-Natal Mamas share random things about themselves to get to know one another. Now you can learn some random things about me!

1. I grew up on a farm – I can rope a calf, ride a horse and drive a grain truck.
2. I was a hairstylist before I became a nurse. I used to cut homeless people’s hair for free.
3. I’m a bookworm. If someone gave me a free day and a blank cheque, I’d probably spend the majority of it in Chapters.
4. I used to believe I’d never live in a city. Now you probably couldn’t get me to move out of it.
5. I learned how to parallel park between straw bales, not cars. Again, I grew up on a farm 😉
6. My first horse was one that we rescued. When we grew out of him, we donated him to a Special Needs Facility, so that other kids could learn to ride too.
7. I think that I was a Real Estate Agent in a previous life – I browse MLS listings almost as often as Pinterest.
8. I believe in wishing on falling stars.
9. My Mom’s best friend passed away when my first baby was 10 days old – seeing him sleep on her chest the day before she died was the first time I found meaning in the Circle of Life.
10. I love my mini van. 5 years ago, I would have laughed at you if you told me that.
11. My parents have 3 girls and a boy; I have three boys and a girl.
12. I have always been afraid of burglars. Oddly, when I was 23 someone scaled three balconies and broke into my apartment while I slept. I screamed at him and fled. To this day, I still have nightmares.
13. My favorite color is turquoise.
14. I went through Kindergarten twice because I was too shy for grade one.
15. My Uncle is ‘the voice’ of The Brick, TSN, and Toyota. Next time you hear him, you’ll think of me!
16. I love to bake. I recently bought a Kitchenaide Mixer and I’m obsessed with it!
17. I would love to get a tattoo but I’m too afraid of the pain. Yet I’ve birthed 4 children….
18. My mom, my sister and I are all nurses. You can probably guess the interesting conversations we’ve had.
19. I won a model search when I was 15.
20. I’m addicted to coffee. And creamer.
