Sophie Madison Baby

My baby girl and I recently had the opportunity to review a product from a great Alberta Mom-owned business called Sophie Madison Baby. We were thrilled to receive a gorgeous baby blanket in the mail the day we left on our summer vacation and I couldn’t wait to put that soft material next to my sleeping baby’s skin!

One of the most common gifts we received when we had each of our babies was blankets – whether they were homemade, bought or handed down, so needless to say with 4 babes we have a fair sized collection of them! But I must say the one we received from Sophie Madison Baby is definitely one of my favorites. Here’s why:

When the Sophie Madison package arrived in our mailbox and I opened it up to see pink and brown polka dot satin, soft swirly pink minky fabric and ruffles- oh, the ruffles- I was immediately in love. A couture blanket at its finest. This specific blanket is named “The Emma- a trendy chocolate brown and baby pink polka dot satin charmeuse with a coordinating baby pink minky swirl on the back. This cute blanket is finished with a chocolate brown satin ruffle.  We find this blanket to perfectly fit its namesake with a sophisticated air with a touch of whimsical fun.” Seriously, how baby-chic is that?

The quality of the fabric makes a huge difference in my overall impression of blankets – fleece, meh. Cotton… it’s alright. But satin and swirly minky? That’s just pure bliss in a blanket. I would love to cuddle up in it myself! And the pink and brown just happens to match perfectly with Miss E’s nursery. What are the odds? When I opened the package and laid the blanket out on the floor, my sweet babe immediately crawled over to it and laid her head down on it. Yep, this girl already gets it- fabulous things always win with me.

The stitching in the blanket has just the right amount of tension. There are no loose threads waiting for me to pull (I hate that, and can never find a pair of scissors when I need one). There aren’t any overly tight stitches either – a job well done, ladies.

These girls know how to make a great product. They offer several different items in their chic online boutique (which, by the way, had me hooked as soon as the screen opened). Items such as custom crib bedding – bumper pads, crib skirts, fitted sheets…), toddler blankets, throw pillows, crib mobiles, ribbon blankets… adult blankets…wait, ADULT blankets in this material? Um, yes please. The also create adorable little headbands, which of course I had to add to Miss E’s birthday list… it’s definitely worth a visit to Sophie Madison Baby. I know you’ll love their products as much as my babe and I do!
