Ease back into a fitness routine with Mommy Connections

Are you looking to get moving again following the birth of your baby – but don’t know what’s safe or where to start? We’ve got you covered.

Our Mama Moves program offers 3 weeks of different fitness classes  – from yoga to mom and baby fitness – designed especially for new moms. 

This class is BYOB (bring your own babe!) and offers a fun and low-pressure way to get out of the house, socialize, and see what Regina has to offer in the way of postpartum fitness options. 

We meet from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesdays at various locations around Regina. Each fitness class is 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes to informally socialize with the group. Our next 4-week session begins on Tuesday May 19. We will be joined by Betheny Allen Photography 1 of the 4 weeks for Mom and Baby Photos.

 This class is designed with non-mobile babies in mind and is best suited to moms who are between 6 weeks and 9 months postpartum. (but we can accommodate older/mobile babies) 

Your $70 registration fee includes:

  • 2-3 fitness classes led by local experts; all of which are appropriate for all fitness levels
  • Baby-wrangling help from our facilitator as-needed!
  • A free professional picture of you and your baby, taken by  local photographer, Betheny Allen Photography 

 Why Mama Moves?

Mama Moves is a fun, low-pressure way for new moms (who have been cleared for moderate exercise) to ease back into a fitness routine. All of our instructors are trained to work with postpartum women and understand how to protect your abdominals and pelvic floor. 

While some classes are more intense and others more relaxing, all of them offer options and modifications to accommodate all fitness levels . Our hope is that you’ll come as you are, move with us to the best of your abilities, and discover what you love!

 Q: How old should my baby be when I register?

A: This program is designed with ‘pre-movers’ in mind, and is best suited for mums who are 6 weeks to nine-months postpartum. 

 

Q: Can I attend just a few classes?

A: Single sessions are not available. A huge focus of our programs is community building, which can only be created when a group is consistent from start to finish. 

 

Q: How many moms are in each class?

A: We aim to keep classes at or below 10 participants to foster a cozy, community feel.
 

Q: When will I find out the class schedule? 

A: You will receive a schedule via email before your session begins. A sample schedule is available below.

 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Please note, registration cancellations are subject to a $30 administration fee, view our full cancellation policy here. A minimum of 8 participants are needed in order to run this class. In the event that we need to cancel due to low registration, you will receive a full refund.
