On our Bookshelf- Tap the Magic Tree

With the changing seasons upon us, I am reminded of a book which I enjoy reading with my kids.

Tap the Magic Tree is an  interactive book which gets little ones engaging with the content by having them complete a new action with each page.

Some of the actions that little ones complete include :

• tapping
• clapping
• jiggling
• wiggling
• shaking
• knocking
• blowing kisses
• counting

As kids complete these actions they help “the magic tree”  go through the changes which can happen to trees in the different seasons.

I love the simple story, and the actions really do keep little ones captivated.  I know upon our first read of this book my son wanted to read this book over and over. Now, my daughter cannot get enough of the fun addictive actions.

I also enjoy that as my son gets older, while he still loves the actions; we now talk more about the changes happening with the tree and relate it to what we see as we explore outside during each season. Which means this book will be in rotation on your bookshelf for quite a few years.

I love this book so much that I have personally gifted this book to a few of my friends with little ones. It gave me such joy to see the videos they would send of their little ones completing the actions of the book.

I hope you give this book a read with your little one(s), whether it is during this fall season, or any of the other seasons. I adore how this book inspires interest and connection to nature in a fun and creative manner.
