The winter months are known for chilly temperatures, and grey skies. However, it is also a season where you can find unique opportunities for bonding and exploring with your little ones.

Here are a few suggested ways to embrace this season and create memories while gaining many benefits for you and your baby.

1.Winter Wonderland Walks: Bundle up your baby and take a stroll through scenic areas like Simcoe County waterfront, nature trails, local parks, or winter festivals. This is a great way to enjoy the crisp air as your little one experiences the snow covered landscapes.  Furthermore, little ones also can experience the sensory stimulation from the crunching snow or even playing in the snow.

If the weather does make it challenging to head outdoors with the stroller or carrier- MacLaren Art Centre has a unique art stroll which is sure to be insightful for both mom and baby.

  • Trans Canada Trail and Friday Harbour Nature Preserve, Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, Bear Creek Eco Park (please ensure to check trail conditions as a carrier may be more suitable).
