Work at Home Wednesday Feature – Lia Sophia

Every Wednesday for the month of June we’re going to feature a new business that allows you to make some income while working from home! Our first feature? Penny Matthews from Lia Sophia.

1) Tell us about your business, and why you got started with lia sophia?

My business with lia sophia jewellery has given me the ability to stay home with my daughter and still have a career on my terms.  I never thought of myself as a sales person and that’s the best things about lia sophia is the jewellery sells it’s self and the company provides us with some of the top programs in the industry for our hostesses and customers, this helps ensure business development and growth for each of us.  Before my daughter was born I had a high stress, long hours career in software development and I knew 60 hour weeks did not fit into my desire to be there for my daughter, this is when direct sales entered my life, but it wasn’t until my husband got laid off that lia sophia jewellery did.  My first company was a fun hobby for me, but it cost me more than I made, so when I saw the compensation plan with lia sophia I knew that was the company I could make MONEY with!! So 3 years ago I started with lia sophia and now I am making a top executive wage, working with a great team of advisors and balancing my family and business on my terms.

2) What are some of your favourite lia sophia products?

Oh there are so many, it’s hard to pick just a few.  I am drawn to this seasons pops of colour like we see in the Flower Pot necklace

and great stacking bracelets such as Quench, Technicolor and Zenith.  I have to say that I am a true romantic, so the re-invention of pearls are a hit with me and I love the Rosedust and Tickled Pink necklaces.  In true mom fashion there are days when I am running out of the house a barely have time to grab some earrings, so my favourite go to pairs are Sugar Dusted or Applause.

3) Why is your company a good fit for moms looking to make some income while working from home?

Lia sophia is a great fit for mom’s both stay at home and working moms looking for a little extra, as it really is a business that can be scheduled around your family life.  I also think it’s a great fit because as advisors when we schedule a party and go to work it’s not just for minimum wage.  Besides the money, I have found some great personal growth, experienced wonderful successes and developed friendships, plus we get the BEST work perks with lots of FREE and discounted jewellery!!
