26 Acts of Kindness

When tragedies occur in our world – it can be difficult to process.  When tragedies involve children – even more so.

As a mom and former teacher, I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives this past Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.  I offer love, light, and strength to the families, friends, and loved ones affected by this horrible tragedy.  I send my deepest and most heartfelt expression of condolences.

My son is fast asleep. When he wakes,  I’ll go in and hug him.  And when I do, I will think of those who won’t be hugging their children tonight. And in honour of the children and adults whose lives were lost in the Newtown Tragedy, I’m committing to 26 Acts of Kindness.

Today I sent a note to loved ones near and far to remind them that I love them.
