I am very excited to announce our new partnership with Raw Perspective!

I personally feel they are very talented ladies, have great prices, and I love supporting others “mom-based” businesses!

I first met Halsi Herbert, she is one half of Raw Perspective. She joined forces with Kelly Buck in January of 2012 to put together a company that was fun, creative, economical, available and up for trying anything. They have both been doing photography professionally for a few years prior, but together they have double the availability and twice the ideas.

“We like to meet new clients, but most of our business is from repeat clientele – but who can complain about watching families grow.”

Halsi resides in Beaumont, and Kelly in SebaBeach, so they effortlessly accommodate Edmonton and all surrounding areas like Spruce Grove, Devon, Morinville, FortSaskatchewan, Leduc and more. They have even reached out as far as Camrose, DraytonValley and Edson!

“If I can offer you one tip when booking a photographer, be it for family, couples, kid sessions or the likes, it would be do not let the dollar value fool you into taking the next best deal. Especially when it comes to kids, it is paramount to find someone who can interact with them, and get them to respond back. BUT ask lots of questions and know exactly what you are getting for how much. Great photographers are all over, but all offer slightly different packages, or specialize in one area.”

Great advice from Halsi. I got Christmas photos a few years ago with a photographer that was offering a mini-shoot quite a bit cheaper then the rest, and was very disappointed in the result. So I learned my lesson the hard way! I definitely recommend looking through the photographers work to make sure you like their style. And I love Halsi and Kelly’s work!
