Often the first time someone says that word to you, Heart Ache is what happens. If you were fortunate enough to be home for the year after your child was born, enjoying every moment together! (Cause we all know every moment is sooo enjoyable!) You had a hard time thinking that soon you would be apart for at least 8 hours, if not longer. Some of us may be looking forward to going back to work, hoping for more of a challenge and getting back to a part of you, besides, poopy diapers and making meals. Others of are on the fence of where our minds and hearts should be. And yet other of us are dreading every moment away from our little one. Anyway you approach it. Going back to work means your child or children need to be in someone elses care. Now what?
Well honey better start looking. I know it may not be something you even want to think about when your munchkin is only four months old. Who wants to wish the year to go by? But at least maybe start asking questions to friends, co-workers and checking out your community. This way when the time comes, you perhaps are already on a waiting list or you know what type of care you are looking for.
In one of our classes our Mom and Baby group was fortunate enough to have Mary a very knowledgeable lady with Edleun, come and chat with us the different options of childcare that are available to us in our community. From private, to subsidized to dayhome, to daycare. Mary had provided us with information on all of our options out there. She then shared with us what Edleun had to offer.
Edleun is offered in quite a few communities throughout Alberta. And we are fortunate enough to have one right here in Leduc! If you have never heard of this place and are looking for some quality childcare this is the place to check out! Not only do they offer from infant to after school care, they also have a onsite cook who provides meals that are based on the theme of that month and planned by a registered dietician. They also offer many facets of learning covering all domains such as social, physical and cognitive. They offer educational programs for every age group they care for! Something that I am sure all of us are a bit concerned about when looking for childcare. Along with trained and caring staff. Which Edleun has that covered too.
If you are looking for child care, Edleun is a place you need to checkout.
