Review: Flexitol Happy Little Bodies Eczema Relief Cream

Happy Little Bodies Eczema Relief Cream (56g) is a non-steroidal treatment option for Eczema treatment. It works due to intensive soothing and anti-inflammatory ability due to synergy between 5% Colloidal Oatmeal, Calendula Tincture, Peppermint Oil and Aloe Vera.

Happy Little Bodies Eczema Cream is free from steroids, paraffin, cortisone, parabens, coal or pine tar and artificial fragrance.

We tried it out and here are our thoughts:

“The Flexitol Happy Little Bodies cream has been helpful with my son’s mild eczema.
He did not have anywhere close to a severe case, however the cream has helped clear up the small patches of eczema and kept his skin moist to prevent repeat outbreaks.

His pediatrician had mentioned that we needed to start using a cream daily, however as parents we wanted to ensure that the cream we chose was safe to use on his skin and not full of ingredients we wouldn’t be comfortable using. This cream is easy to apply, and spreads evenly and we can relax knowing that it is free from steroids (we have been prescribed a cream in the past from the pediatrician that was a steroid cream, and we never wanted to or ended up using it, so the eczema never improved) and other chemicals which are not great to put on a child.

It dries quickly enough and doesn’t leave your hands feeling oily afterwards, as many other creams do. However, the smell resembles mint flavoured fluoride at the dentist office which my husband really did not like. We understand that it is free from artificial fragrance, however it definitely has a smell to it which could be improved. A small thing which I would change about the packaging is to remove the sharp corners from the end of the tube. My son likes to grab everything that I use, so while I am applying the cream, as soon as I put it down, the tube becomes his first target. The sharp corners can be slightly hazardous. It is nice that while this is a “specialty” skin care item, in the sense that it is made with natural ingredients, it’s available in stores with multiple locations.

The Flexitol Happy Little Bodies Wash & Shampoo has also helped to relieve my son’s eczema. The body wash has no odor and applies very easily, while still creaming a few bubbles in the bath, which my son loves. The ingredients give me a piece of mind as they do not contain harmful chemicals. The texture of the body wash is great for its function, as I was anticipating a very thick application. The packaging is very nice, and the bottle contains all the information required, so keeping the box is not a necessity. We use the wash every two to three days, even though it says it’s for daily use, as we don’t bathe our son on a daily basis.

One thing I noticed while looking at the tube of cream, is that the medicinal ingredient is listed however no other ingredients are written on the actual cream, however with the body wash all ingredients are listed on the back.”
