Memories Captured by Mixbook

Mixbook has brought the memories surrounding the three best days of my life together into one place that I can hold in my hands, and this mama’s heart is overflowing. 

I wanted to capture the memories and special moments surrounding my journey into motherhood with my four little ones, and a Mixbook photo book was the perfect option. I was fortunate enough to have various photos from my pregnancy announcement, maternity photo shoot, birth and newborn sessions that I wanted to combine into one place to hold close as my little ones grow. When the finished product arrived in the mail, I won’t lie, I teared up a bit because it was simply one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever received.

Uploading the photos to the Mixbook platform was incredibly easy. There was an option to upload photos from a computer, social media, or from your phone. As a mom, I take all my photos with my phone. Who doesn’t, right? I just scanned a QR code on my computer which opened an upload window on my phone. I then refreshed my computer and all my photos were there! Super simple.

With the option to use pre-made templates or do your own photo layouts, the options for how the book would look were limitless. There was even an option to auto-fill all the photos I had uploaded into a beautifully laid out book, and Mixbook would do everything for me. A great option if you’re a busy mama and short on time! Because I wanted my photos in a certain order, I did my own layouts, but the process was quick and intuitive. One of my favourite features was the ability to copy and paste a certain page layout so I could quickly make certain pages look the same if I had customized something or wanted to follow a certain pattern. 

My experience creating my memory photo book was relaxed and enjoyable! The website was easy to use, the features were helpful, and shipping was fast! Much quicker than expected, which is always an added bonus!

We all have photos. So many of them. But they always stay on our phones. If I have one piece of advice for you as a parent with photos accumulating on your phone – get those photos printed! Those beautiful bump photos, those special first moments on your baby’s “birth” day, newborn, first birthday, or second, or third…put them into a book that you can cherish for years to come.
