Review: Brica Night Light Musical In-Sight Mirror

As a third-time mom there are many things that I feel like I’ve got “figured out” and while my 4-year-old will tell you I have eyes in the back of my head, that’s not exactly true. When I’m driving with the 3 Bears, I constantly find myself yelling things like “No! Please don’t feed the baby fries!” and “Sister Bear, did Brother Bear put anything in Baby Bear’s mouth?” Every car ride is quite the journey and without third row seating, my kiddos are all trapped in the back together 3 across. During a day drive it’s easy to do a quick glance back but at night, it’s pretty tricky to see what they’re up to.

I’ve had several mirrors over the past few years but I love that this one has 2 light settings that can illuminate the baby in the dark without being a distraction to the driver. It’s shatter-resistant and crash tested which makes me feel safer about having a mirror in the back with my kids.

I’m a big fan of the size of the mirror. When Sister Bear was born I bought the cutest little mirror that looked like a teddy bear… I thought it would keep her distracted and entertained but what I didn’t pay attention to was the size of the mirror. It was so small and distorted that I felt like I couldn’t see her properly. The Brica Mirror is large so I can see a good chunk of my back seat, which is super important to me.

The mirror also has 4 melodies that were designed to help soothe your baby. This was probably my least favourite function of the mirror as my kids tend to fall asleep to the soothing sounds of Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic (anyone else’s kids obsessed 9 months later?) Even without the sounds, the light feature alone makes the mirror worth it.

The best part about this mirror is that it’s remote controlled so you can activate the light and the sound right from the front seat. I hang mine on my visor.

I love that I can keep an eye on my little munchkins because with 3 ages 4, 2 and 8 months, it’s a wild ride around here and anything that makes my life easier is much appreciated.
