I love Christmas and finding the perfect gift for everyone on my list! Finding an item for that special person that they may have not seen before or unique is of high priority.   I enjoy the fall season of craft sales and tradeshows where you can meet the artisan or business owner behind the product and leave with that perfect item and the knowledge that you are supporting local.  For those that shop last minute (like my husband!) – SHOP LOCAL!

Since becoming a Mom and becoming the West Edmonton Director of Mommy Connections, the support I’ve received from other moms and other local mompreneurs is amazing.   So many of us want to stay at home with our family, but still require a means to supplement income  (and also an outlet to keep us sane).  But with that comes a lot of hard work. Many of us are working after the kids are in bed or getting up early before they awake to answer emails, process orders, update our facebook/twitter pages and the list goes on.  It truly can be a full time job when you are  taking care of both your family and business.  Because of this, I feel strongly about showing my support when it comes to WAHM and Local businesses.

Below, I’ve compiled my own list in no particular order of  gift ideas and stocking stuffers ideas from local businesses.

I want to give a special thanks to those local businesses that have supported Mommy Connections and by providing items in our swag bags, door prizes or special discounts to the Moms that have registered in our programs, as well those that have shared their knowledge as a guest speaker at our programs. I truly do appreciate all the support you have given to our program.
