My Date Night At Cavalia

As some may know, my husband works away from town, so date night is not usually “traditional” around here. Date night was spent with my very good friend who is currently 8 1/2 months pregnant with baby number 2. I remember it feeling like I was sick or something when I was pregnant because nobody asks you to do anything fun! Well, Cavalia seemed like the perfect place to go together.

Luckily we had these amazing Rendez-Vous VIP passes (which I recommend if you want to feel like a rock star). Before the show started there was buffet dinner that looked amazing! We of course being the moms we are, got there last minute because munchkins had to be put to bed. But don’t worry my friends. We still took advantage of the other benefits offered of the lounge. Yummy popcorn and complimentary beverages (Sadly ours were non-alcoholic), and the most delicious chocolate treats at intermission.

We took our seats and were truly amazed. I’ve heard great things and okay things about the show. All I have to say to the people with a so-so opinion…. WHAT?!?!?! Call me a simpleton, but we truly thought it was an amazing show! I held my breath during stunts,

laughed at the immodest horseman and felt goosebumps at the love story aerial work.

I am not a horse person, nor am I much of a live theater person, and to be honest you don’t have to be either to enjoy this show. Although after watching the beauty of these beasts, I kind of wanted to convince my husband we needed a horse. 

I love the interaction with the audience. Right from the beginning, they have fun facts about the horses they have. Multiple choice answers where the audience raises their hand to which answer they think is correct. Later in the show leaves fall down into the crowd and snow falls over the romantic scenes. The actors smile at you and enjoy your clapping after performing an amazing stunt.
