Old Wives Tales on Baby Gender

Did you find out the sex of your baby or did you wait for the surprise at the end? I love hearing all the old wives tales of baby gender. Whether it was only for the first 20 or so weeks or all the way to the end, here is some of the ones I’ve come across:

• Craving sweets = GIRL
• Craving Orange Juice = BOY
• Craving salty foods = BOY
  
• Acne = GIRL (apparently because they steal your beauty)
• Gorgeous glow = BOY
• Carrying high = GIRL
• Carrying low = BOY
• Morning sickness = GIRL
• Milder morning sickness or none = BOY
• No labido = GIRL
• Labido like a teenage boy = BOY
• Being a little extra “sensitive” or emotional = GIRL
• Cold feet = BOY
• Heart rate higher then 140 = GIRL
• Heart rate lower then 140 = BOY
  

Then there are the fun “tests” too:

• Tie a ring to a string and put it over your belly. If the ring goes in a circle it means GIRL and if it goes back and forth its a BOY.

• Mix your urine with Drano and if it’s blue its a BOY and if it’s pink a GIRL.

• Chinese Gender Chart uses your birthday and your baby’s due date/conception date to find out. This one from Babycenter.com does the work for you and also points out it’s 50/50 chance of being right (are you laughing with me?)
