K-Days 2015: It’s All About the Food

Edmonton is a city full of amazing local restaurants, cafés and food trucks. It’s no surprise then that Edmontonians love their food. K-Days this year will not disappoint. Here are some of the many amazing food opportunities happening at K-Days 2015:

Midway Foods

Location: K-Days Midway

Times: noon-11 p.m.

K-Days 2015 has some amazing new midway foods for you to try. With everything from frozen and fried treats to sandwiches and poutine, there’s something for everyone at the Midway. Love ice cream? Try the Crazy Cone,  a freshly-made hollow corn tube, filled with soft serve ice cream; it’s even gluten-free. Love mini donuts? Try the Red Velvet Mini Donuts with Cream Cheese Glazing. Love lobster and corn dogs? Why not combine the two and try a Lobster Corn Dog. Looking for a unique, tasty sandwich? Try the the Hot Korean Sandwich, with mildly spicy kimchi (my fave), caramelized onions and a side of smoked maple bacon. There are tons of other amazing new midway foods for you to try!

Food Trucks

Location: North Grounds Midway

Times: noon-11 p.m.

Support local and enjoy a treat or meal from this year’s three awesome food trucks at K-Days 2015: Family Squeezed and Freezed, Melt Town Grilled Cheese & Poutine and Kelly O’s Pachos.

The Neighbourhood

Location: Edmonton EXPO Centre – Alberta Ballroom

Times: noon-11 p.m.

New to K-Days 2015, the Neighbourhood is a market full of local artisans selling their products. Enjoy a coffee or wine and a bite to eat off the menu full of locally-sourced food.

Eat at the Grand presented by Coca-Cola

Location: Edmonton EXPO Centre – Hall E

Times: noon-11 p.m.
