Marble Painting (and why we LOVE it!)

11/14/2015

Working in Early Learning, I love messy play!  Coming home after work, sometimes I am a little over cleaning up BIG messes, which is why we LOVE marble painting in our house!

Pick up an old Tupperwear container, shoe box, cardboard box or anthing other container that you don’t need anymore.  Cut out paper to fit in bottom of container.  Drop in some paint (I usually stick to 1-3 colors) drop in a marble or 2, and voila (in the photos below, I actaully put paint in different cups, and dropped a marble in each cup, and had my 4 year old get marble out with a sppon and drop in container.  This is great additiona to work on those fine motor muscles!) If you have a lid to the conatiner you are using, the kids can really go to towm shaking, spinning, turning upside down!  If not, no worries!  It takes practice to tilt the conatiner and the kids love watching the marble roll all over the place!

After your child’s creations have dried, you can use as cards, cut-out to make holiday shapes, frame as-is for grandma and grandpa, whatever!  The possibilities are endless, and the finished product always looks so unique and cool!
