Dear Mommy,
When you’re feeling stressed out and pulled every which way, I want you to know that you are enough.
When the floors are covered in Lego and the kids are eating Kraft Dinner, I want you to know that you are enough.
When the dishes are overflowing and the floor is unswept, I want you know that you are enough.
When everyone stays in their pjs and watches TV all day long, I want you to know that you are enough.
When you haven’t showered in days and your bed is unmade, I want you to know that you are enough.
When you raise your voice or say the wrong thing, I want you to know that you are enough.
When you can’t pay the bills or need to work overtime, I want you to know that you are enough.
When it feels like your world is falling apart, I want you to know that you are enough.
And if you need to cry, scream or bury your head, please know that you are enough.
Remember that your plate can only get so full, before it starts to overflow.
So take care of yourself with a coffee, long bath or a run, because you, yes you are enough.
