Have your child color the popsicle sticks, then glue together is tree shape. Some quick cutting/breaking is needed.
Take any materials you have around your craft cupboard and let kiddos go to town decorating their tree. I use White glue to ensure everything sticks, for littler kiddos, you can pour some glue into a small cup and give them a popsicle stick to dip and spread glue. For older kiddos, nothing works little hand muscles better than squeezing the glue bottles themselves!

Pipecleaners. Beads. Bend. BAM! Done.
(To challenge older kiddos, ask them to make a pattern with their beads!)
