My baby is two…

09/14/2011

Today my baby turns two. He reminds me daily lately that he isn’t such a baby anymore- with his refusal to get dressed unless he picks his shirt; his ability to use my iPhone better than I can; his need to run (and I mean RUN) everywhere. If he didn’t come back to give me hugs when he was playing and running all over, I might cry all the time! After our presentation yesterday from Katie with www.winifredbabies.com, I missed him being little a bit more than usual. Those soft flannel baby blankets just make me want to snuggle a little peanut! Watching the new moms in class with thier tiny ones don’t help either! Don’t get me wrong, I love this 2 year old stage (minus the tantrums and the willfulness of course). I love that he learns new words all the time and can express himself. I love that he has his own little stubborn and adorable personality, but part of me wants to cry that he is becoming more independent and moving away from total dependency on his Mom. There are happy parts and sad parts to every stage in childhood, and I am excited and alittle scared for how I will accept them. Moms, what are you favorite and least favorite ages and stages so far?
