Pumpkin Surprise Rice Krispie Treats

I made these cute little treat for my daughter preschool’s Fall Costume Party and thought I would share with you all.

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons butter
• 4 cups Mini Marshmallows
• Orange food coloring gel
• 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
• 6 FUN SIZE® Chocolate Bars – cut in half
• Green Decorating Gel
• 12 Fruit Snack pieces

Directions

Prepare and measure out ingredients.

In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Tint with orange food coloring.

Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

Using 1/2-cup measuring cup coated with cooking spray divide warm cereal mixture into 12 portions. Using buttered hands shape each portion into pumpkin shape around one candy piece.

Now comes the fun part – decorate them however you want! I used SunRype Funbites for stems stuck to the pumpkins with decorating gel, topped with green sprinkles and Fruit Roll-Ups for leaves and Jack-O-Lantern faces.
