4Cats Arts Studio

As many of you may have seen, we had the opportunity to take part in some awesome splatter paint art classes this past session with our Mom & Tot Beaumont and our Mom & Baby Leduc classes at 4Cats Arts Studio in Leduc. I think it was pretty safe to say that everyone who went, from ages 1-4 and adults all had a great time! I personally had given up on being any sort of artist back in elementary school when I learned that I couldn’t even draw a decent stick man, but upon exploring these classes I have discovered that it’s more about the fun than the talent! Jolyne, who owns 4Cats Leduc, is so incredibly helpful and friendly and provided tips and encouragement wherever she could, which made you feel like you were really accomplishing the task. 4Cats Leduc seems to have something for everything, and it was SO much fun bringing our classes there.

Classes at 4Cats start again the week of September 14^th and there are a variety of options for everyone from age 2 to adult. There are some really neat classes coming up this fall including:

• Mixed Media, where children create 2 paintings on canvas and a clay project themed around Mad Hatter;
• Artist Focus, where children will learn about 2 artists and create two canvas projects inspired by the featured artist (in this case Da Vinci and Kahlo);
• Clay and Sculpture;
• Manga;
• Graffiti ; and
• Kittens, which is a parented class for 2 & 3 year olds

Along with these great classes, they also offer a variety of workshops with painting and clay each week for children, families and adults. If you are still looking for something to get your children into this summer, they are running summer camps. The themes for August summer camps include Celebrate Summer, Bees Knees, Birdwatchers, Shark Week, Pixel Craft and Mermaids. They also have both painting and clay workshops coming up in August for adults and these make for great date nights, nights out with friends, or just something to get you out of the house on your own for a little bit! Don’t worry, no experience necessary and you may actually surprise yourself with your talent!! Spaces in these classes are limited so don’t wait!
