My Spring Wedding

Hello! This is my first blog!  I wanted to start with some big recent events in my life: wedding, honeymoon, pregnancy and birth of my son.  I will do each as their own blog.  So, let me share my beautiful wedding with you!

My husband Terry and I got married on Friday, April 6th, 2012.  It happened to be Good Friday, which was our 5 year anniversary.  We met April 6th, 2007 (which was also Good Friday).  We got married at Bellamere Winery in London, Ontario. It was the only venue that we looked at.  I always wanted to get married there.  I am a city girl and my husband is a country boy, so it was the perfect atmosphere to suit us both.  It was also very close to home.

We had a pretty small wedding… 75 people.  My dress was a fit and flare with a ruffled skirt.  My favourite colours are purple and pink.  My bridesmaids wore a purple dress with pink sashes.  I wanted vibrant spring flowers, so we had tulips, roses and carnations.

My new married name is Bell, so we had a lot of wedding bell decorations.  I was lucky because most of our vendors were friends, including our photographers, florist and DJ.

We had beautiful weather for April.

The food was amazing.  It wasn’t a sit down meal and it wasn’t a buffet.  We had various food stations set up around the reception room, including a mashed potato station.  I loved our cake!  See a picture below.  Notice the cute cake topper that was made to look like us, including our 2 dogs 🙂

Our first dance was Ronan Keating, This I Promise You.  My husband and I did dance lessons for a few weeks and had a little routine.

It was a perfect day!
