Rena Christine Photography’s tips for photographying your baby

11/29/2013

When you register for a Mommy Connections program, you receive a free professional 5×7 with your baby.  For the last few programs, we have had the privilege of working with Rena Christine Photography. Here are her top 5 tips that you can do at home:

1. Find The Light

-put them in beautiful light

-use your hand to see where shadows fall

2. Be Realistic & Go With The Flow

-don’t expect too much from your little one.  A little one that is just learning to crawl is not going to be happy about sitting for multiple posed shots

3. Make A Game Of It

-give them an activity to do, or engage them in a game like peek a boo – genuine smiles and fun memories with your little one

4. Be In The Photos

– hand the camera to someone else from time to time and get in the photos with your little one.  Even if you’re not looking your best one day, it’s a wonderful gift for your little one to have years from now.

5. Organize Your Photos

– rename all your files when you download them to reflect the YEAR-MONTH-DATE and original file number or sequence. For example, 2013-10-25_001

-back up photos regularly

-print photos and put into albums or make photo books online
