Summer Activities: Theme Days

08/21/2017

What better way to engage your children than to ask them what they want to learn about. This helps children stay busy and become engaged on what they are learning about. For example, if your children were interested in animals these are 3 activities that could be done to keep them happy over the summer months.

  1. Building your own animal out of natural materials or out of craft materials.
  2. Animal yoga, this is a great calming activity for children as they get to relax their body through fun and recognizable yoga activities. This is great before dinner time or bed time.
  3. Farm animal washing station, this activity is for children to get their animals dirty and then wash them in a bucket of water. This promotes well-being teaching children the importance of cleanliness while also introducing that sensory play experience.

Creating themes for the weeks or days of the summer can make it much more enjoyable for your children and they will remember those summers as they grow older, I know I did.
