Welcome to Feature Friday!
Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate. She’s a personal cash flow expert here in London and she has decided to share some things about herself and her business. Again, Kate thank you for allowing us to communicate and share your expertise with us!
How do you help people?
As a personal cash flow expert, I develop cash flow plans or budgets to help families understand how much money is coming in, how much needs to go out and how to manage the money that is left over. I offer strategies to help families align their money habits with their values, so they can reduce money stress and live with financial confidence.
What’s your favourite part about what you do?
I am grateful to witness a family move from fear and avoidance of their money to taking control and feeling happy and hopeful about their finances. That is what gets me up in the morning.
Where is your favourite place to visit in London?
I enjoy walks with my family in Warbler Woods, Kains Woods or sometimes running or biking in Springbank Park. We are so fortunate to have these amazing resources in our city. And they are free!
What do you do to unwind after work?
Recently, I have been enjoying trips to the barn where my daughter has her horse. It is a peaceful place with beautiful sunsets and lot of horses, bunnies, puppies, cats, chickens and one sweet little goat.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
At 2.5 years young, my business is still in the infancy stage. I offer a one-to-one program and that feels right for my business today. In the future, I intend to add an online component so that I can offer services to those who prefer an alternative to the one-to-one model.
I love what I do and I hope that I can continue to help families feel good about their money, well into the future.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Most of us develop our relationship with money by age seven. We establish this relationship by watching the adults in our lives and studying their relationships to money. If you don’t feel good about your money, take action to make a change. Reach out to an expert or pick up some books to learn new ways of making things better. Our own positive relationship with money is one of the greatest gifts we can offer our children.
