Who doesn’t love bubbles? I mean even to this day I love seeing bubbles. Maybe I don’t chase them around, but it them happen upon my way I definitely try and pop them or balance them in my palms. Growing up, I loved bubbles, the bigger they were, the better. My grandmother always found ways to make the bubbles ridiculously big. Nowadays, I try and do the same for my children.
The best way I know how is to create bubbles from scratch. It’s quite simple really. First, you need to gather a bucket, some dish soap and some glycerine (I get it from Walmart). To make the bubbles I add in four cups of water, one cup of dish soap, and one tbs of glycerine. I always stir it to make sure it’s mixed well.
Before the bubble magic can begin, we also create our own wands. To make them, we gather straws and yarn. we pull the yarn through the straws, deciding how big we create the wand. Once the yarn and straws are together, holding onto the straw part, we dip the wand into the water (holding onto the straw handles) and begin to walk around slowly. Bubbles eventually form and they are huge!
My kids and I personally love this activity. It’s simple and entertaining. Plus who doesn’t love bubbles?
