Plan ahead for your family’s meals and snacks. You could miss out on important fuel and nutrients your body needs to feel energized throughout the day if you skip a meal.

Some tips when it comes to planning ahead…

  • Think about what you want to serve for a meal or snack ahead of time so that when you’re hungry, you’re not left grabbing the first item you see in your fridge
  • Take a few minutes early on to think about a meal
  • Plan your food choices to include food from all food groups to ensure your family is getting the necessary nutrients their bodies need
  • Make a shopping list for main meal choices and add foods you’ll need for each schedule eating period

When planning for meals, make sure that the food planned has a variety of options for all family members. Everyone has different tastes and it is important that each member of your family gets the necessary nutrients to live a healthy and energizing life.
