Fisher-Price Little People Animal Sounds Farm Review

Have you ever bought a toy and later realized that it wasn’t worth the money you paid for it?  As a mother of two young children, I always want to have a look for what I can get for my children without wasting my money in the process.   We’ve got our share of toys, which weren’t worth the money and we have also bought toys that have been worth the money ten times over.  We found one of those ‘treasure’ toys ~Fisher-Price – Little People – Animal Sounds Farm!

As they say, first impressions count.  From the first moment I saw this toy, I knew my daughter (2 years old) would love it.

The Little-People Animal Sounds Farm is charming play set for a boy or a girl, that doesn’t fail to amaze my children and their friends! The farm can be used in different ways, which will immediately spark your child’s imagination for hours to come.

The set includes: farmer Eddie and his animals (a horse, cow, sheep and the chicken in her nest), plus the hay bale and 4 fence pieces to create a corral for the animals! There are 3 doors that open and close with sing along songs (that are so catchy that my children sing them all the time) and fun animal sounds, a drop through silo & slide sounds, a baler that tips up to deliver the hay into the top floor of the barn, a ‘clucking’ chicken on her nest and even fences to create a separate corral.

With so much to discover and so many activities to do at the Farm, my 2 year old daughter loves playing with this toy, while also engaging in an educational activity.  My daughter’s favorite activity is to put all the animals in and out of the barn as well as to ‘ feed’ them (sometimes she brings real grass from the backyard to pretend feed the animals).  She loves to sing along as well.  The size of the animals also allows for easy handling by her little hands. She always giggles and talks to all the animals when she plays with this toy.  Conveniently, when the play is done, the design of the silo stores all the play pieces inside (which I am sure all parents would appreciate).

The Farm also includes an interlocking fence, which allows for connecting the Farm to the other Little People products (such as Little People Happy Sounds House).  This neat feature allows for an opportunity to expand a child’s horizon of play and creativity at any time in the future.

The toy is aimed at 1-4 year olds.  There is nothing in this toy that would frustrate a young child. My daughter and even her younger friends can operate it easily: open close the doors, put the animals in and out, press the chicken, interlock the fence, etc  Moreover, the most important feature for me is that the toy can be played by my daughter alone and does not need adult participation.  Although, I always enjoy playing with my daughter, there are times when I am not able to.  The Little Animal Farm keeps my daughter entertained and occupied on her own.  Moreover, she had the toy for quite some time now and still loves it.  It it definitely NOT one of those ‘five minute wonder’ toys!

Finally, the quality of the product is great, which means that this toy is going to last for a long time, and as such, can be re-sold or used by your next addition to the family.

I highly recommend, this classic, great toy for any child who loves pretend play with animals.  Well worth the investment.  It retails for $49.99.
