Review: Munchkin STEP Diaper Pail

I had the opportunity to review the new Munchkin STEP Diaper Pail Powered by Arm and Hammer. I have an 18 month old daughter and we recently switched from cloth diapers to disposable diapers and I didn’t have a diaper pail system for the disposable diapers, we were just using a regular garbage can. By the end of each day we had to empty the garbage can due to the smell – sometimes in the middle of the day depending on the diaper (you all know what I mean!)

I really like this diaper pail. It reduced smells dramatically – we went from changing the garbage bag daily to going 4-5 between changes and not having to deal with a smelly room. The step is very convenient – diaper changes can be messy (new outfit, bath requiring dirty sometimes) and with the step you can quickly step to pop the lid open and dispose of the diaper. Plus, when you close the lid it puts a twist in the bag to hold in odours.

When it was time to change the bag it was very easy. We simply pulled down the bag and tied the top. There are multiple bags in the ring so we just had to pull down extra for the new bag. Quick and easy (and as a parent you will know anything that is quick and easy when it comes to a baby is great!)

I would definitely recommend this product to other parents!
