I am always trying to find new fun crafty things to do with my toddler and like many moms, I often wonder what to do with all the stuff we create together. Let’s be honest – not all of it is worthy of sitting out on display for too long!
I read about this craft years ago (pre-kids!) and even bought the glitter to make it, but I never got around to do giving it a try. On (Canadian) Thanksgiving Monday, the whole family decided to do it together. It was super easy and even Dad seemed to enjoy it. Don’t tell him I told you so, but his actually turned out the best! My big, strong and uber macho man has a hidden crafty side – who knew! I might let him get involved more often in our crafty fun!
Step 1 Wash mini pumpkins and ensure they are completely dry
Step 2 mix a bit of water with some white craft glue
Step 3 use a paint brush to cover the area of the pumpkin where you want the glitter to stick (note – you might want to do one glitter color at a time and only paint certain areas of the pumpkin
Step 4 Once they have dried, arrange them on a pretty plate for the entire fall season – even the toddlers turned out beautifully! They make a great coffee table decoration or centerpiece!
