Jamberry Nails was founded by three sisters. They decided there had to be an easier, more cost effective and longer lasting way to accessorize their nails. The sisters began to brainstorm different ideas for a nail covering that could be applied at home, and would allow for intricate details in the design, without the mess and fuss of fingernail polish. From previous manufacturing experience working with similar materials, Adam, husband of Jamberry sister Christy, began a several month process with the sisters of experimenting and fine tuning a product that was both durable and easily applied.
Jamberry Nails launched Oct 1, 2010. In only the first few months, the company was greeted with interest and sales that surprised even the most optimistic predictions. The company began with a direct to consumer model, and despite this success, decided in the winter of 2010 to embark on a new home party plan model to meet the growing groundswell of so many Jamberry Nails fans asking for a way to share and sell the product on their own. They launched the home party model in the summer of 2011 and the number of consultants has grown daily! In September 2013 they launched into Canada, with Ontario and BC opening first and the Prairie provinces following on Dec 1st, 2013. The Atlantic Provinces schedualed to open April 1st 2014.
Jamberry Nail Shields are the newest, long lasting way to accessorize fingers or toes. Jamberry Nail Shields are a solid film covering that is applied directly to the nail. This special material is both pressure and heat activated to create a water tight bond to the nail. The film is finished with a high gloss protective layer that prevents the nail shield from chipping or scuffing. This nail treatment can be applied in just 15-20 minutes. They last up to 2 weeks on fingers and 6 weeks on toes.
Each sheet contains 18 shields; 2 rows of 9 different sizes. Each shield is long enough to be cut in half and used for 2 average length nails. One sheet costs $17 if purchased individually; $13.25 (or less) if 3 or more sheets are purchased at a time. One sheet can be used to apply 2-4 sets of nails, depending on nail length, and can be used on fingers or toes.
Everything needed to apply the shields you probably already have in your home

There are two removal options for Jamberry Nail Wraps. For nail wraps that have been worn more than 10 days, we recommend following the Gentle Nail Removal Process

While these are the “official” application and removal procedures there are many other tips and tricks people have found to help trouble shoot any issues. For application you can apply the wraps cold and then use a rice bag or hand warmers for heat. You can use the “baggie” method which uses a plastic bag to apply consistant and even pressure to the nail while heating. For removing the wraps some have found warm water works for them. Olive oil or coconut oil can also be used.
