Munchkin Latch Bottle Review

December 1, 2014

Our friends at Munchkin are thrilled to announce the launch of their new bottle line, LATCH™! The LATCH bottle line was designed to help new moms reach their breastfeeding goals by making the transition from breast to bottle seamless. The LATCH nipple features a breakthrough 360° accordion-style nipple that moves, stretches and pumps, and an anti-colic valve that ensures air bubbles do not pass through the breast milk.

Henry’s was 5 months when we used it for the trial. We have used the Tommee tippee regular and anti colic bottles. We need to replace the nipple with a faster flow one in order to keep using it.

Pros:

Less parts to clean and assemble than other anti colic bottles.

Flexible nipple allows for more natural movement like the breast

Lid comes with bottle to transport extra milk without a nipple on the bottle

Cons:

The small bottle only holds 4oz so baby outgrows this size quickly. Other brands hold 5oz in the small bottles

The nipple is smaller than other brands so for a large breasted mom, this did not simulate breastfeeding as well as a wider nipple

Overall we would definitely recommend this bottle to other families!
